Marty & Kelli

People keep asking how we like living "down south out in the country." The unequivocal answer is "WE LOVE IT!" It didn't seem like we were home much this year but when we were, we made the most of the farm.

Kelli still volunteers at the Crawford County Food Pantry each month and continues to scrapbook, read, and take care of pets Louie, Stella and Dr. Poe. She visits her mom (Lois) every 2-3 weeks and this year she did a ton of canning vegetables from the garden and took up making products with essential oils.

Marty is still working at Single Source Systems and spends as much time as he can outdoors. He continues his practice of habitat management by planting sunflower, corn, soybeans, and small grains for the wildlife. His focus this year was nurturing the garden (in its second year) with a focus on peppers (14 varieties). He converted his harvest to Hot Sauce & Seasoning. He only got to fish a handful of times, but had good luck when he did.
